Public Skate

What is public skate?

Public Skates are perfect for those wanting to go out on a session with friends and family. We welcome skaters of all ability, ages, and levels to join us. Public skate hours can be found on our main schedule here.

Just drop in and pay when you get here.


How much does it cost?

Price - $25* (Skates included in price)

*Skaters 5 years and under skate free with paying adult.

**Anyone enrolled in Skate School gets all public sessions free for the duration of their enrollment!

Groups of 30+ should call ahead so we may prepare to best accommodate your needs.

Skate Helpers Available!

You asked for them, we got them! Skate Helpers are now available for only $7/helper.  They will be on a first come, first served basis. We have a total of 10 available. *These are stackable, so adults can use them too! The typical adult will need 2 stacked, totaling $14

Public Skate Rules

Ice skating is for fun and enjoyment for everyone, but regardless of your skill level, there are elements of risk in ice skating.

Basic rules are:

  • No rough housing or playing tag, chase, etc.
  • No hockey sticks, pucks, or balls.
  • No weaving around other skaters or the cones in a disorderly manner.
  • Please skate outside of the coned area if present.
  • No one is allowed on the ice without skates.
  • No carrying children at any time on the ice.
  • No food or drink allowed on the ice.
  • You must pay or check in at the front desk prior to skating.
  • Please skate in counter clockwise motion unless otherwise instructed by SIA staff.
  • Skaters participating in public skate are doing so at their own risk.
  • Figure skating programs are limited to private lessons.
